I’m the Friendly Wolf marionette, and you might recognize me from the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Let’s be honest—my role in that story wasn’t exactly flattering. Eating grandma? Not exactly a career highlight, and definitely not a way to win anyone’s friendship! Let me just say, I wasn’t thrilled with how that fairy tale wrapped up either. Wouldn’t you agree it’s much better to be remembered for kindness and humor than for causing bellyaches? That’s why I’ve reimagined myself as a positive hero—a wolf who brings smiles instead of scares and laughter instead of fright.
When I’m not performing on stage, you’ll find me wandering through the woods, soaking in the beauty of the trees, streams, and the endless array of creatures that inhabit my home. I’m not just any wolf—I’m the woodland’s unofficial storyteller and friendly gossip columnist (minus the pen and paper). I love hearing everyone’s tales: the squirrels chattering about their latest acorn adventures, the birds gossiping about which branch is the best for nesting, and even the grumpy badger complaining about noisy neighbors.
Of course, to fit in with my woodland friends, I make sure my style is on point. My cool coat and sharp pair of pants make me the best-dressed creature in the forest (or at least, I think so). With this dashing look, nobody needs to be afraid of me anymore. Well, unless they dare to critique my fashion choices! In that case, I might throw a playful growl their way.
At heart, I’m just a good-natured wolf looking to prove there’s more to us than old fairy tale stereotypes. Sure, I joke about having a bone collection hidden somewhere—what wolf doesn’t dream of that? But my true passion is helping and connecting with others.
