Little Bear Fandie – Brave Little Puppet
$45,00
Hello there! I’m Fandie, the small but mighty ceramic bear puppet with a heart as big as my dreams. Unlike my plush bear cousins, I’m Little Bear crafted from ceramic, making me solid as a rock—quite literally! But don’t let my sturdy exterior deceive you. I’m all about spreading joy, laughter, and a whole lot of charm.
From my earliest days as a tiny figure in the workshop, I’ve always dreamed of becoming a famous actor. Every night, I rehearse my one-bear rendition of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, playing every role with dramatic flair. My favorite moment? Shouting, “Someone’s been sitting in my chair!”—a classic, if I do say so myself.
Beneath my glossy surface, I’m known for my big heart and kindness. I love making friends with other puppets, sharing my ceramic cookies, and even hosting impromptu dance parties. Sure, my dance moves might be a little stiff, and every step sounds like a cheerful chime, but that’s half the fun!
My big moment came when I was cast as “The Brave Little Bear” in a local puppet show. My courageous on-stage antics and signature moves brought laughter, cheers, and smiles to everyone. That’s when I realized my true talent: making others happy.
Meet Fandie – Your Brave Little Bear Puppet!
Would you like to know how a little puppet like me came to be? Let me tell you my story!
First, I was crafted from wood to create molds. Seven molds were needed for me, little puppet—head, body, arms, legs, and tail. Ceramic material was poured into them and left for just the right time before being emptied, leaving a thick shell behind. Once dried, I was carefully removed from the mold, seams smoothed, and any imperfections cleaned. Even my pouring hole was sealed to ensure my head stayed intact.
Next, holes were drilled for threads and leather hinges to hold me together later. Precision was key—no one wants a lopsided puppet! After drying for days, I went into the kiln for my first firing. Later, I was soaked in Pyrolusite, which gave me those lovely shadows, and went back into the kiln to become stronger and more durable.
Then came my colorful transformation—painted from head to toe in vibrant hues, complete with expressive eyes to see the world. Screw eyes for strings were glued securely, and leather joints were carefully attached to ensure I moved smoothly. Each joint was adjusted perfectly—no mismatched arms or legs for me!
Finally, strings were tied to my limbs and connected to a controller. After all this careful crafting, I was complete—a charming, fully functional little puppet, ready to take on magical adventures. Now you know, it’s no small feat to create a little puppet like me!
