Would you like to know how a little puppet like me came to be? Let me tell you my story!

https://youtu.be/Ujud9siErrE

First, I was crafted from wood to create molds. Six molds were needed for me, little puppet—head, body, arms and legs. Ceramic material was poured into them and left for just the right time before being emptied, leaving a thick shell behind. Once dried, I was carefully removed from the mold, seams smoothed, and any imperfections cleaned. Even my pouring hole was sealed to ensure my head stayed intact.

Next, holes were drilled for threads and leather hinges to hold me together later. Precision was key—no one wants a lopsided puppet! After drying for days, I went into the kiln for my first firing. Later, I was soaked in Pyrolusite, which gave me those lovely shadows, and went back into the kiln to become stronger and more durable.

Then came my colorful transformation—painted from head to toe in vibrant hues, complete with expressive eyes to see the world.

“I am tiny, but a lot of effort went into creating me.”

Each puppet is a unique original, handmade and hand-painted so there will be slight deviations from the puppet picture shown on the page.
